The workshop museum in kvemo Alvani continues to thrive.

Tusheti is famous not only for its incredible nature but also for Tushetian wool products. The ladies from the Alvani village are known for processing wool and felt with traditional Tushi methods, as well as creating amazing handicrafts.

After the completion of the project “Supporting Traditional Livelihood Systems in Tusheti,” the workshop museum in kvemo Alvani continues to thrive.
The handicrafts created in the workshop museum can be purchased from all over the world through the online shop. With the support of the USAID Economic Security Program and the Georgian Craft Association, up to 80 online stores of Georgian crafts masters were opened at the American global platform Etsy.

Georgian masters thus have the opportunity to offer their products effectively on the international market and have access to 40 million potential buyers.

The workshop Museum of Tushi handicrafts was founded in 2018 with the support of Caritas Czech Republic and the mayor’s office of the Akhmeta municipality. Today, 12 women are working in the Workshop museum.
