Caritas Czech Republic Handed Over Family-Type Homes to the State Care Agency

Caritas Czech Republic has been addressing the disability issue since its country office’s establishment in Georgia. In 2020, our organization launched four-year project that aims to contribute to the deinstitutionalization of large boarding institutions by supporting the Government of Georgia with various legislative initiatives and helping persons with disabilities (PwDs) in starting an independent life. Many of them are living in completely unsatisfactory conditions. Caritas Czech Republic is launching a project to improve sanitary facilities in accommodation centres and to ensure the construction of modular units. These will provide accommodation for the most vulnerable groups of displaced people.
