Caritas Czech Republic continues to respond to Covid-19 related needs

Today we visited the orphanage home at Nutsubidze street to hand over computer equipment and Personal Protective equipment for the staff of the home.

The computer equipment will help the staff to be fully involved in the online training which Caritas Czech Republic will start for them tomorrow. The aim of the trainings is to enhance existing services provided to beneficiaries of the home before relevant services are available, including long term care service being developed in the frame of our project.

The activity is a part of the project “Establishment of Children’s long term and palliative care services in Georgia” funded by the Czech Development Agency.

That's how Caritas Czech Republic (CCR) has aided Georgian authorities, physicians and general population in their battle against Covid-19. Hand over thermal-screening equipment to local public health authorities in Zugdidi Municipality

Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Georgia, H.E. Petr Mikyska together with Mr. Jan Cernik, Head of Development Cooperation of the Czech Embassy and Mr. Jan Blinka, the Head of Mission of Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia, visited Zugdidi Municipality with the purpose to hand over thermal-screening equipment to local public health authorities. The equipment will be used to identify persons with COVID-19 symptoms who will be then referred to relevant medical facilities for a check-up.
