The first day of summer – The first of June is the International Children's Day. This day once again reminds us that every child has the right to "a standard of living adequate for the child's physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development”. Further, a child who is temporarily or permanently deprived of his or her family environment has the right to assistance and protection from the State (Unicef Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 27, Article 20).
